ePermit is a web-based no installation required permit application system that allows you to apply for permits and receive permit approval from multiple Permit Issuing Agencies (PIA) via the Internet. All approved permits are sent to Customs (Sistem Maklumat Kastam) via electronically for validation and cross-reference against Customs Declaration.

This system is made to suit the requirement of  the different PIA. This includes consignment details, quota details, grading summary and product database. Vital information such as tariff code and location codes is also available on ePermit.

Both traders and forwarding agents can apply for and obtain permits online. PIA, meanwhile, can verify and approve the applications, and then send the approved permits to relevant parties, via electronically. Data entry is only done once, time saving and reduce error. The approval process is transparent allowing the applicant to keep track on delays and decisions' making

The system designed for applicant to apply permit for import or export as well as certificate of approval (COA) for selected goods stipulated in Custom Prohibition of Import/Export Orders Under the Customs Act 1967 as well as others relevant acts.

Application for export permit  for most OGAs can be divided into three parts as follow:

  1. Export consignment details (1st page)
  2. Other Details (1st Page middle)
  3. Additional Details  (1st page bottom)
  4. Export Items/Attachment details (2nd/end page)
